In a nutshell

So, I've decided that the McCain voter is one of four things:

1. Ignorant
2. Fearful
3. Racist
or 4. Rich 4. Greedily/Selfishly Rich

So I would challenge the McCain voter to ask of themselves which one they are and why before Tuesday, because none of these four traits are virtues.

"Rich" in and of itself is not a bad thing. It all depends on how you got it, and what you do with it. (See for example Warren Buffett -- the richest man in the WORLD, who supports Obama.)

So I would say if you are rich and you support McCain, you are probably also one of those other things, too.

I don't disagree with much that Jesus has to say, but this assumes that all rich people are morally equivalent, which is clearly not the case.

There are a lot of poor people that don't deserve to be in the "Kingdom of God" either. Money (or lack of it) is not the sole determining factor of your goodness as a person.

Right, but in any case, there is no virtue in being rich...which was my original point :)

I LOVE this list! I think I would replace "rich" with "greedy", though, since I know some rich folk who are for Obama, and plenty of poor folk who are for McCain (not that they can't be the other things on the list, but that greed is in some cases what is motivating their vote).

In fact, I think I may repost this in my journal, if you don't mind, with that change.
