I saw an article with the promising title: Should You Leave Your Job? One Way to Avoid Career Regret

I skimmed it, and ultimately, saw nothing that really encouraged people to make the leap; rather, it provided reasons to maybe stay.

Dunno about you, but I've found more often than not, people find themselves stranded in jobs they don't want, but need to have to pay the bills or whatnot. They don't need reasons to stay, they need encouragement and a plan to put into place the things that will get them out of their unhappy situation.

One Way to Avoid Career Regret is to move on.

So, if you want to read that article, go for it.

I've been doing a lot of research in that area of things. The book I just finished reported studies done that showed that the longer a person was in any type of bad situation (craptastic job, abusive marriage, etc), the more likely they were to stick with it. Something under the logic of "Well, I've already been here this long, I might as well ride it out in case it improves."

It's too much like the lobsters in the pot, you know? People stop believing in themselves, it's sad.
